“Well, I love your idea!”

“How perfect for you!”

“Your selections for my mate bonding ceremony dress were ah-mazing! You’re a natural, Signy.”

“Even the maternity outfits you picked out were fabulous. I didn’t feel like I was wearing a tent!”

“Your sense of style rivals spreads in Vogue any day.”

I grin as my girls react to my news about the online boutique—Signy’s Secret Cache.

With me being MIA, over the last few weeks, they insisted I make good on my promise for a Girls’ Night Out. Naturally, we choose Club Hati since it’s one of Larson Enterprises, Inc.’s properties and a spot for wolf shifters and humans to mingle on the dance floor. Plus, it’s one of the few places my brothers allow me to frequent without my bodyguard Tomas. Our pack enforcers serve as security and will handle any situations that may impact my wellbeing. Sigh. Before I got my groove on, I shared the news with my girls.

I set my thoughts of a mate aside to delve into my independence move. I met with advisors and created the business plan. Then arranged trips to the fashion capitals of the world to find pieces for my collection. First up New York for Fashion Week.

My grin widens as I respond, “Thank you so much! I’m plenty nervous. But this is what I want to do. I haven’t told my parents or brothers yet. First, I want to get the ball rolling and solidify all the moving parts. So, I’d appreciate it if you don’t mention my plan to them.”

They agree wholeheartedly with zipped lips and crossed hearts. I giggle at their dramatic responses, and they join in. Once we settle down, I tell them about my next step to fly to New York in the morning and make another request.

“I only told my parents and brothers I’m going for Fashion Week as usual, not the additional reason. So, lips sealed.”

Sage squeals and stands with her glass of mojito raised.

“Here’s to Signy’s new venture. May she have much success in all of her endeavors—”

“And get out from underneath her brothers’ thumbs!” Wren cuts in with a smirk.

We clink glasses and sip our cocktails.

“Now, let’s get this party started! I didn’t wear this cute little number despite Viggo’s protests for nothing, ladies!”

Maya exclaims as she stands and shimmies in her silver lamé mini dress. The lights sparkle on it as her hips move to the sensuous beat of the music.

I nod and jump to my feet, looping arms with her as we head to the dance floor. My heart swells with happiness. Soon I’ll be completely free!
